 Meet Our Ambassadors

At SportsHQ, we believe in offering not only the highest quality cricket equipment but also a passion for the game that extends beyond the products we sell. That’s why we are beyond excited to introduce our newest ambassadors, who shares that same love for cricket and commitment to excellence.

Chainvir Singh - Left Arm Leg Spinner ( CHINAMEN)

Chainvir is a left arm leg spinner and a middle order batsman. He started playing cricket at a young age of 7  from local cricket club Karaka and since then won player of the year every year in junior category. He is currently on a scholarship studying and playing for St Peters College and started to play for their First Eleven Cricket at a very young age of 13.  He won the sports excellence award for highest wicket taker from St. Peters College. He debuted for Karaka Premiers Men at the age of 15 and took 9 wickets in his first 3 T20 games and only played 1 one day game and took 5 wickets. Last year won player of the tournament taking 20 wickets. He got a call for under 17 Northern district national tournament and delivered excellent performance. He is still playing for Karaka Cricket Club and st peters college Epsom.

He is on a pathway program from NZC and selected as a chinamen.

 

Trent McVeigh - Bowling All Rounder 

Trent is 17 year old bowler allrounder who plays from Papakura Premier Men's Team. He is also a major part of the Manukau Under 19 squad and plays for the Northern District Under Under 17 Team as well.  After a exceptional performance he also made his debut in the Manukau Mens Cricket Team.

He was also the part of Northern District Under 17 National Team Twice, He was awarded the Manukau U19  Bowler of the year due to his excellent contribution not only in bowling but the crucial innings as a batter as well. He is the Team Captain of Howick First 11 from last years and is the first player to play 50 games for Howick First 11. 

He aspires to become a professional Cricketer and represent the country on the world stage.
